"Nesting Tables In Marquetry - Period 1900"
Set of four nesting tables with increasing dimensions that can, by definition, be assembled one under the other to form just one. The tops with mitred frames are mahogany veneer. A pretty checkerboard background laid out in counter-threads is represented there, bordered with a lemon tree net. It will be noted that these respective trays offer in their center, fine marquetry, progressively more important, in light and lively colors, illustrating flowers and foliage as well as brushes. All have four solid beech legs, beautifully turned and slender, yet sturdy. These are connected to each other by a small elaborate spacer, ensuring perfect stability of the whole. Gradually larger in size, these four tables easily fit together, a much appreciated feature in small areas. Their delicate and neat ornamentations will be highlighted in a refined, bohemian and more refined interior.
