Excellent quality and condition circa 1780 study of a Lion in its den fading on the prey of an antelope carcass. This work is typical of Stubb's Lion & Horse wild series which preoccupied the artist for almost 30 years. Unsigned and deserves further research. Presented in a gold frame.
