"Naked Tambourine Dancer By Richard Durango-togo (argentina, 1910-?)"
The impressionist painting with a naked dancer holding a tambourine was executed by Richard Durando-Togo (born in 1910 in Buenos Aires). He was a painter of Argentine origin who spent most of his life in Italy and especially in the south of France where he settled permanently in 1934. In 1968, Richard received the Grand Prix International de Peinture. He is a self-taught artist with a very personal style, a painting of shadows and lights often juxtaposed with blond and brown to create an atmosphere of mystery. Richards' "Nudes" are no shock to the eyes, which retain nothing but sophistication and elegance. He was a prolific painter who created oil paintings of gypsy dances and musical scenes, market scenes , portraits of women with hats, nudes and still lifes painted in bright colors. . Richard's works are in collections in France, Italy, England, the United States, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.
