Noël Louis Jean Dorville (1901-1986): "Quimper, les Allées de Locmaria", large watercolor gouache 48 X 35 cm on sheet 64 X 50 cm, mounted in a large silver frame and molded Art-Déco 73 X 58 cm. Signed and dated 1935. A few years earlier, in 1927, he published a collection of poems illustrated with cubist drawings prefaced by Max Jacob, excuse the little! The artist gives us here a characteristic view of an emblematic place of the city, the Allée de Locmaria where the sailing boats are anchored having gone up the Odet.
