The high, stepped crosspieces are carved with deep floral designs with curves and counter-curves.
The upholstered arms come to rest on whiplash consoles. The wide and deep seat with scalloped, curved and sculpted crosspieces on the front rests on curved legs sculpted with flowers ending in scrolls.
For these very beautiful seats, Pierre Nogaret used, for the fittings of the backrests and crosspieces, staples carved with scrolls and leaves, thus contributing to the movement of the lines. Differences in the sculptures of the flowers on the backrest, front crosspieces and feet which are typical of its high quality Lyon production. Very nice walnut. Small usual grafts.
The two seats are stamped Nogaret in Lyon.
