"Art Deco Chryselephantine Sculpture Lullier-chiparus-g.gori"
The sculpture that we present is signed G.GORI, and is absolutely from the Art Deco period, guaranteed by ourselves. It is composed of several materials, for the terrace and the barrier of different marbles, onyx, gilded bronze and ivory. It is titled Sleek at the WHIPPET. It is however an enigma and I am going to explain myself on this point and also why I quoted three names of different sculptors: LULLIER, CHIPARUS and G.GORI (they are two). First of all, you should know that the great sculptor CHIPARUS operated under another name LULLIER (internet source) and this LULLIER, it was he who created this magnificent sculpture and if he is in fact only the great CHIPARUS that easily understood. We find this subject very often, but what we call cast iron, is nothing other than rigule and ivory. And that's where it gets even more complicated, is that our sculpture "our" is in a much more noble material since it is gilded bronze and ivory. But carries engraved on the terrace the name of "G.GORI", then all the suppositions are essential, is what GORI would have bought the rights of the model with LULLIER who in fact was CHIPARUS (it always remains information collected on Internet ). In any case, our sculpture is the only one whose existence we find (since we possess it). It is very well made and is undeniably from the era it claims to be. There remains a last hypothesis that this sculpture was elaborated and released without signature and that an "intelligent" had this sculpture signed in the name of G. GORI. It is true that this mixture of assumptions and inconsistencies may seem bizarre. What we see is that our sculpture is of indisputable quality and craftsmanship. Look at the finesse and the details. Length of the terrace 49 cm, width of the terrace 13.5 cm, thickness 4 cm. Height at balls 13.5 cm. Height up to the hairstyle of the elegant 28.5 cm PS: The price we indicate of 5800 euros which seems to me very inexpensive compared to chryelephantine sculptures of CHIPARUS for example, it is already a purchase price correct, but also by everything I explained in the ad. And me personally I believe in the sincerity of the object which is not a fake. I would certify it on invoice in case of acquisition. (E)
