"Marquetry Planter, In Thuya Veneer And Blackened Wood, Napoleon III Period - Nineteenth"
Planter in Oblong shape, with Blackened Wood structure, and provided with its Original Cap. The latter is embellished in the center with a Bouquet of Flowers in Light and Tinted Wood, highlighted by a darkened pear tree background. This Decor is encircled by Cedar and Rosewood Veneers, themselves partitioned by Lemon tree nets. This lid has two small bronze handles. He discovers a Removable Zinc tray, painted "Spring Green" color on the inside, and Black on the outside. The opening of this Planter is underlined by a Gallery in Cut Bronze. The belt of this piece of furniture, delimited at the top and bottom by Brass Rods, is Speckled Thuja. It is embellished, on its four sides, with scrollwork marquetry in rectangular cartridges, and four openwork bronzes. This Planter rests on four high legs with Curved lines. Each of them is adorned with three Bronze Chutes, shaped into Foliage and Flowers, or even Cassolettes and Rams' Heads. These four uprights are linked together by a tablet with concave sides, and inlays reminiscent of those of the lid. We also find on his songs Brass Sticks. It will be noted that the presence of this tray brings both aesthetics and stability to the whole. This Furniture all sides and full of Fineness constitutes a Perfect Decorative element, which asks only to be enlivened by your Favorite Flowers. Another Major Asset and sufficiently Rare to be underlined, this Planter is supplied with its Authentic Cap, an accessory frequently absent on similar models.
