"Mahogany Commode, Louis XVI Period - Late 18th Century"
Chest of drawers in solid mahogany and Cuban mahogany veneer, Louis XVI period. Its top is in slightly veined White Carrara Marble, which has a groove around it, and which follows the lines of the quarter-round legs of this piece of furniture steeped in history. The Belt, delimited by a half-round Brass Rod, is composed of a single drawer, despite a facade that simulates three. Below, this Dresser offers two other drawers, arranged in two rows, with an identical depth of 19 cm. All are equipped with two drop handles and a carved entrance, all original. They are also equipped with working locks, with their keys. The interior of the drawers as well as the "anti-dust" are in Oak. The Sides of this chest of drawers are made up of two vertical wooden panels. This piece of furniture is structured by four uprights, quarter-round and fluted for those at the front, more sober for those at the back. They are terminated by four Tapered Feet, with Brass Hooves. Note that the front two have a Light Wood Fantasy which adds to the Charm of this 250 year old piece of furniture. This Elegant Dresser is an Essential Element to Perfect a Classic and Harmonious Decoration, and it will also be appreciated for its Prestance and its unusual Proportions.
