Pair Of Glass And Brass Showcases - 1930 - 1940

Interesting Pair of furniture with brass structures, glazed on the top and the three visible sides. They open on the sides by doors with bevelled surrounds to give more strength to the whole. They have working locks and original keys. The interiors are lined with two times four shelves with cut corners. They are placed on notched racks and therefore adjustable as desired over a total display height of 170 cm. All of identical dimensions, so they are also interchangeable and can be distributed differently. The bottoms are covered with a brown velvet fabric in very good condition. The amounts are with cut sides, the angles of the frames with miter cuts. Each Showcase is composed of a solid base, with brass panels and mouldings, all resting on a base with overhangs in Black wood. These plinths have both a role of protection of the lower parts, more subject to shocks, but also an aesthetic function, since they bring Class and Prestance to this furniture of the last century. It should be noted that these Showcases are electrified and provided with neon lights hidden behind the high crosspieces. Ideal for highlighting valuable objects, this furniture may be suitable for a collector, for example, or return to its initial function as displays in luxury boutiques.
