This is one of the allegorical corner figures of the tomb of General de LAMORICIERE erected in 1879 in the left transept of the Saint Pierre Saint Paul cathedral in Nantes.
The contract signed by the artist with the founder was signed on May 31, 1879 with a concession of 20 years.

Paul DUBOIS was born in Nogent sur Seine on July 8, 1827, died in Paris on May 22, 1905. Son of a notary, he entered the School of Fine Arts in 1858, trained for 4 years in Italy, notably in Florence.
