Magnificent ice cream service cutlery, consisting of its spoon and knife (or shovel). (2 rooms). Sterling Silver - Vermeil - Filled Silver (neck brace). This rare model was made in the workshops of master goldsmiths Labat and Pugibet, located at 84 rue Quincampoix in Paris. They were specialized in fine cutlery and small goldsmithery. Their hallmark (L&P, a cobbler's awl) was stamped in 1877 and crossed out in 1897. The spatulas of this very beautiful model are decorated on the front and back with acanthus leaves and stapled foliage; isolated panels of nets form a long relief in fish scales, each of them meticulously guilloché in order to accentuate its realism. The parts in solid silver and vermeil are very dense in quality, delicately engraved with large leaves spreading out in a large stylized plume. taking up the attributes of the spatulas. The spoon is engraved on the face, while the knives are engraved on the front and back. Goldsmiths' hallmark on each of the two pieces, Minerva 1st Title guarantee hallmark (950/1000) on the handles and upper parts (4). Micro-scratches from normal use and tiny small marks (see photos), vermeil - probably posterior - in excellent conditions.
