"Bench Forming A Chest, English Bed End, Mahogany And Flower Marquetry, England Circa 1900"
Charming and very atypical little English seat in inlaid mahogany, manufacture from the very beginning of the 20th century. It is indeed a bench / end of bed forming a storage box thanks to its tilting front door opening onto two lockers. This pretty little seat can be installed absolutely anywhere: entrance, bedroom, office etc... Easy to move thanks to its two armrests acting as handles, it can for example be placed at the end of the bed to store slippers and pajamas, in an entrance to put on or take off your shoes, in a living room at the end of the sofa as a magazine rack, etc.... Furniture that is elegant, refined and very practical. Our bench is in mahogany, the door is adorned with a wreath of inlaid flowers. The seat is made up of a comfortable cushion covered with wine-colored velvet with a small tear on the back. This fabric can be easily replaced since the cushion is removable (see last photo). This piece of furniture is in good house condition, some traces of wear are to be noted on the woodwork (see photos, old scratches on the back of the piece of furniture). The fabric has a small tear. Dimensions of the two interior compartments: width 37cm and height 11cm each
