Quick description

Old oil painting, religious scene from the 17th century.
Very thick original canvas, probably stuck on the reverse.
Presentation quite similar to an Ex voto, phylactery in Latin:
"When I turn, what will I say, what will I do" "Have mercy on me"
Followed by a text in Gothic German:
"You cannot give me a better service than helping me carry my Cross"
Pictorial layer still very solid, marvelous patina of time.
"Frame" composed of simple formerly gilded strips.
Lots of character and authenticity.
