"Small Box In Veneer Wood, Napoleon III Period - Nineteenth"
Small Refined Box, from the Napoleon III period, composed of various Wood Veneers forming Decorations. This Charming Object is sublimated, on its entire structure, with Fine Veneers of Cedar Burl, Rosewood and Palissander, arranged in Chevrons. The front and sides of this box are discreetly curved, and it opens on the top with a slightly convex lid, decorated with bone inlays, forming diamonds and rectangles. This flap once opened reveals a small mirror in excellent condition, as well as a storage compartment offering a depth of 13 cm. This box is provided with a functional lock and its original key. The set rests on four small turned ball feet. We will never tire of the Elegance and Finesse of design of this Beautiful Object, which can be used daily as a Jewelry Box, or more occasionally as secure storage for cash or precious mail.
