"Pair Of Armchairs In Solid Light Walnut, Directoire Period - Late 18th Century - Early 19th Century"
Pair of Property Armchairs, Directoire style, with structures in solid Blond Walnut. They are covered with a very pretty Light Blue Lelièvre Fabric, mainly made of Cotton and Linen. The finishes are nails in brushed stainless steel. The files are straight and sober. The Curved armrests are also very Sleek. The tailoring and dimensions of the seats make them particularly comfortable. They are squared, and have been redone traditionally with Straps, Springs and Horsehair. Each of these Seats rests on four Saber legs. Note the relative rarity of this Pair of Armchairs made of Light Wood - in this case Walnut - where its congeners are more frequently in Mahogany. They have benefited from Quality Craftsmanship, and a judicious choice of fabric, which makes these Seats adaptable to both Contemporary and Older interiors.
