"Mahogany Commode, Louis XVI Style - 2nd Part Of The Nineteenth"
Beautiful Louis XVI chest of drawers in light solid mahogany and mahogany veneer composed of two drawers on the front concealing the central crosspiece and forming a single rectangle surrounded by a half-round brass rod. This furniture is furnished with four bronze handles surrounding in the upper part a discreet bronze entrance accompanied by its key. The lock in perfect working order blocks the two drawers. These feature oak bottoms and sides. Each has a bottom made up of two panels with a central crosspiece in the middle for better support. On each side of this chest of drawers we find a jumping and cutaway foot provided with grooves stopped at two-thirds ending in gadroon. The lower part of the foot ends very simply in a sheath. The sides of this piece of furniture are embellished with a half-round strip of the same shape as the front. The protruding rear legs also have stop grooves and the same finish at the bottom as those at the front. The four legs end in a square brass shoe. This Louis XVI chest of drawers is fitted with a magnificent anthracite marble veined with white. This one has angles and a protruding rear. It has a groove around it. Elegant, this quality furniture will seduce you with its dimensions and refined lines.
