"Vase With Floral Decor Signed E. Lachenal - Late 19th Century"
Renowned French ceramist who collaborated with Auguste Rodin, Edmond Lachenal (1855-1948) created this glazed stoneware vase, worked in an innovative way and colored with spring tones. This vase has an ovoid body and a straight shouldered neck from which fall three turbulent and openwork handles. The blue enamel decoration nuanced with stylized irises and the shiny arabesques are surrounded by matt green enamel handles enhancing the colors of this work of art. With its poetic and floral decoration, this unique vase signed Lachenal will delight with its fantasy and the softness of its atypical shapes.
