"Large 17th Century Style Left Hand Dagger"
It is a large left-hand dagger, with an impressively long blade. The style is 17th, but it is a 19th century manufacture, probably using an older blade.
BLADE: It is very strong. It has a very unusual "T" shaped profile. Of course with a single edge, and a false edge on the last 15 centimeters near the tip. Blade length 52.5 cm
GUARD:Steel, with two quillons curved towards the blade.
POMMEL : Elegant flared shape with 8 sides
GRIP :Wider shape in its center to ensure good grip.
Covered with a double twisted iron filigree in perfect condition Two metal ferrules complete the handle.
This piece is a little amazing because of the length and the robustness of the blade, which strongly evoke a hunting dagger.
A use for serving game is quite conceivable, including for big game (deer).
