"Small Chiffonnière Commode In Mahogany, Transition Style Louis XV - Louis XVI - Late 19th Century"
Kidney Chiffonnière in Mahogany Veneer, with top in Red Marble from the Pyrenees bordered by a Gallery of perforated brass. It opens with two drawers, each provided with a keyhole, a key and two pull handles. All these ornaments are in cut and original Bronze. The curved facades are underlined by a double net of lemon tree with checkerboard forming frames. We find these same inlays on the sides and on the "back" of the furniture. Bronze Chutes also embellish the top of the front uprights as well as the bottom of the lamp of this Small Commode. The whole rests on four legs with a curve characteristic of Louis XV style, and those at the front are finished with Bronze Sabots. The interior of the drawers is in Mahogany. This Small Lady's Table has benefited from a Quality Restoration. Elegant and Refined, it only aspires to integrate into an Ambiance that is just as elegant.
