Horace Van RUITH 1839-1923 is an English painter, active in Italy and also in the Middle East

He lived and worked in London and Capri.
From 1888 he exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy. He was still in the catalog of this Institute in 1909.
He produced a Portrait of Queen Victoria from a copy at Windsor Castle.

He loves oil as much as watercolors or pastels.
His landscapes are soft and luminous, like our work.
