The 8-day clockwork with lever escapement and three weights. Dutch ringtone, rings every hour on the big bell and every half hour on the little bell. The clockwork also features a musical bell, playing in full and half hours, with four melodies (10 bells) and a complete calendar with day, date, month and moon indication. Dial with golden center. A silver ring with hours in Roman numerals and minutes in Arabic numerals in the ring a seconds dial. At the top a moon indication, at the bottom a date indication. (day of the month). At the top of the silver numeral ring, the engraved signature "Johannis van Wijk Fecit Amsterdam" anno 1793. The dial is richly decorated with golden ornaments. The case is made of an oak core veneered with burr walnut. The bonnet is adorned with richly carved and sculpted moldings and fretwork and is crowned by three bronze figures representing Atlas, Mercury and a trumpeter. The top and bottom decorated with inlays. The clock window is adorned with a gilt bronze ornament. The base of the clock is rounded in shape and is decorated with a representation of a vase of flowers and rests on four claw feet.
