"Portside Marine Lantern - XXth"
Port corner marine lantern in copper stamped with a G and 3 crowns and numbered G 444. A triangular logo including 3 "G" is also present. It opens with a small lid on top as well as a larger lid that closes with screws and has a handle. The interior has a kerosene lamp whose reservoir base is held in a receptacle at the bottom of the lantern. There is also a curved glass, red on the outside and gold on the inside, and the wheel of the oil lamp is signed Kosmos Brenner. A red glass filter is embedded in a housing provided for this purpose behind the molded exterior glass. One of the back sides has a copper clip.
Period: Circa 1930.
Very good condition. The secondary glass has a broken corner.
