Raingo Frères, Pendulum In Gilt Bronze And Red Marble, Napoleon III Period

Superb Napoleon III mantel clock. Morello cherry marble and gilt bronze ornaments. The whole is signed by Raingo Frères for the movement and Emile Hebert for the bronzes. The clock consists of a cherry red marble case with an application of acanthus leaf frieze in gilt bronze on the front. The sides receive a fall of flowers and fruits in a ribbon. The bases are top in laurel frieze. The top of the clock receives a superb bowl cut in gilded bronze decorated with chiseled flowers and foliage. The movement of Paris signed Raingo Frères which functions and strikes the hours and the half hours Enamelled dial. Good general condition, bronzes to finish cleaning. Note the marble plate on top which has been broken and reattached (the price obviously takes this into account) Napoleon III period.
