"Large Art Nouveau Chandelier"
Elegant chandelier in the Art Nouveau style, in bronze, brass and red copper, from the late 19th century. The decoration of tendrils, leaves and flowers surrounding a more classic structure reminiscent of the Napoleon III style, shows this transition between two eras and the beginnings of this new style inspired by nature, breaking with the previous classism. Equipped in its time with town gas, it was subsequently electrified (the wiring is recent, the bayonet sockets are made of brass). The lampshades are original and in good condition. We note the lack of a petal on one of the 4 copper flowers around (see photo). Height with the chain 100cm, without the chain: 77 cm. Transport quote on request, specifying the city.
