"18th Century Walnut Commode"
A fine 18th-century French three-drawer commode in moulded walnut. Of excellent construction, this serpentine-fronted chest of drawers features original gilt-bronze escutcheons and handles, gorgeous haut relief carved mouldings and stylised foliate motifs, sitting atop charming snail feet. It has a superb colour and patina, and would make an ideal addition to any room. This piece of furniture shows signs of minor wear and tear from previous use, and there are repairs and dents to the woodwork which are to be expected with vintage and antique pieces, and which only add to their character.Circa 1730
