Nuit d’été (Summer night), dated 1894.
A French parcel gilt patinated bronze group depicting a semi-clad maiden on naturalistic base, rose in hand, a putto tugging at her drapery and another at her feet with a bow and arrow. Originally holding a sickle moon, and hair adorned with a star (both now missing). Integral gilt-bronze circular plinth is centred to the front by a plaque inscribed ‘NUIT D’ÉTÉ / par Louis Moreau (Salon de 1894).
