"Between-two Furniture Louis XV XIXth"
Louis XV style in-between cabinet, curved front, in kingwood veneer and veined white marble top "Paonazo" (Italy) from the 19th century. Under the marble is affixed the manufacturer's stencil "P. GUINAND-LEGLAS à NANTES" It opens with a door painted with a romantic scene representing a couple in a garden. It is surrounded by a bronze molding and patinated with a "Martin" varnish. The interior, in mahogany, is lined with 2 shelves. It rests on curved legs, the front ones ending in bronze clogs. It is decorated with many bronzes: moldings, falls, keyhole... On the back: stencil and manufacturer's label: "Fabrique de Meubles et Seats (founded in 1827) P. GUINAND-LEGLAS 7, Basse-Grande- Rue NANTES (Near the Church of Ste Croix)"
Period: second half of the 19th century
Perfect condition after restoration, stripping, cleaning of all the bronzes (after removal) and varnished finish with a buffer.
