Pieter de Bloot (Rotterdam, 1601 - Rotterdam, November 6, 1658) was a Dutch painter. He specializes in making rustic genre scenes, deviating from Flemish examples but retaining a certain introspective, typically Dutch character. His "barn interiors" are among the first examples of the genre, appreciated by the circles of artists in Rotterdam, his city where he was active all his life.
