"Important Cream Wall Cloakroom, With Mirror And Caning, Louis XVI Taste - 1900"
Large Louis XVI-style Entrance Cloakroom, with cream-colored rechampé wooden structure. It consists of three panels whose upper parts are rounded and topped with carved wood in tied ribbons. They are also embellished with foliage garlands, suspended, and linked together. The middle element, larger, is decorated with a Mercury Mirror, while the other two, laterally distributed, are symmetrical. The latter are covered with an original Cannage in perfect condition, as is the central Ice. The left and right panels are each provided with three generous Chiseled Bronze Hooks, which will accommodate coats, scarves and other clothing or accessories. In the lower part, they offer two storage spaces each consisting of five rungs cut into arrows pointing towards the ground. Thanks to the removable zinc bins at the bottom, walking sticks and umbrellas can be placed there even when wet. The whole rests on a large molded plinth with a vertical fluted band. This Cloakroom skilfully combines Modernity, through its natural materials and its trendy color, and Cachet of the old, through its sculptures in particular. Carefully restored, it will be a pretty transition between exterior and interior, and can transform an ordinary hall into a welcoming entrance. The tone will be set: you enter a Tastefully Decorated place.
