"Pine Library Corner - Late 18th Century"
Large corner made up of two solid pine parts. The upper element is a Bookcase with two Curved and Glass Doors. They close with a lock with top and bottom hooks, accompanied by its key. The entrances and the plugs are made of iron and everything is original. The upper parts of these doors marry the Molded Cornice in Gendarme's Hat. The interior, painted in “oxblood” red, has five removable shelves, at variable depths. They offer a large storage space, which is more Modular. Below, there is a box with two drawers on each side with curved fronts. Above, two small shelves with smaller dimensions end up filling this first element. The lower part also has two doors with rounded lines and locking. They are composed of panels with flat bands and angles in arcs of a circle. The interior, painted the same red as the glazed part, is equipped with a Fixed shelf. The overflowing top of this second element is molded in Bec de Corbin. It offers in its center a support tablet, retractable, which is pulled by two notches placed below. The uprights of this Corner are worked Pilasters. This set rests on a small Plinth cut in Gorges. This Corner and its 250 years of history have been modernized with a Warm Red interior.
