"Hereke Rug (turkish)"
Héréké carpet (Turkish) in Wool of dimensions 3.30 meters x 2.30 meters with pastel tones. Production in Héréké started late in the 1850s and was organized with the aim of giving Turkey a prestigious carpet-making centre. The mastery of a perfect technique gives these carpets an exceptional characteristic. Neither the weft threads nor those of the warp appear on the back of the rug. The pile of these carpets is cut very close and, to sometimes highlight certain patterns, the shaving is done at different levels.
