"Pair Of Boin Taburet Louis XVI Candlesticks"
Pair of silvered bronze table candlesticks from the Boin Taburet goldsmith in Paris. Round piid with gadroons enhanced with a row of pearls and a beam, the barrel in the shape of a torchiere around which the arms of light intertwine. Cups supporting sockets in the form of gadrooned vases ending in beaded sockets. These candlesticks of great elegance and lightness have retained their period silvering in perfect condition signifying the quality of the Boin Taburet goldsmithery, of which they bear the hallmark doubled with GB for Georges Boin indicating a second part of the 19th century work.
