Tortoiseshell And Silver: Napoleon III Writing Tools, Good Quality.

In a used and stained case, leather and silk, there were 4 writing instruments, each tortoiseshell encrusted of silver stars and mounted from silver:
Wax seal with a pear-shaped handle, its base engraved of an S in the shape of a snake, a long cylindrical stem pen, guilloché metal tip, a feather-sharpener, sharp blade and round cutler's mark, and this superb pocket compendium, coming out with the help of 3 pull tabs: a pen holder, a scraper, a lead pencil.
Too bad all this is not in perfect condition!
Shell was, as often, attacked by moths and wear, the previous owner had the easiest part filled with resin, but there is still work to be done if perfection is desired. (I take this into account in my price of €280).
