Eekman Nicolas - Ink Drawing - The Opponents

EEKMAN Nicolas (1889-1973) As always with this artist, power and Flemish reference are present. This drawing is preparatory to a work entitled, "The adversaries". This is the counterpart to the drawing, passed to Drouot on December 3, 2018 at Lhuillier, under number 263 with an estimate of 600/800 euros. In this last design, the fighter was facing right, an ax also in hand, and with similar dimensions. Good condition but the paper has "triangular" deformations on the left side (see photos).
