Joseph Cabasson (1841-1920), The Rest of the Peasants, Circa 1890, Watercolor, 54 x 36.5 cm. Watercolor signed lower right. Joseph Cabasson is a Provençal artist. He trained at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Marseille which was under the direction of Émile Loubon (1809-1863). Provence is one of his greatest inspirations, which he paints in watercolour.
