"Silver Applique Stoup, Eighteenth Century"
Stamped, melted, embossed and chiseled silver stoup of oval shape surmounted by Christ on a leafy cross and a lobed ornament incorporating The Holy Face. The overflowing lip receptacle is decorated with ovals, the base is embellished with an angel's head. A rather massive hook is welded behind the cross, in the upper part of which the initials of three letters are engraved. No punches, traces of old metal grips on the edge of the vase. 18th century work. French silver hallmark "swan", title at least 800/1000 Height: 27 cm Width: 10.7 cm Depth: 8.2 cm Weight: 153 g Good condition / without accidents Note: a micro-tear and slight deformations in the decoration of ovals, traces of old welds, wear of the decoration of the cross. The interior for the holy water is missing.
