"Louis XVI Style Gilt Bronze Sconces"
Important pair of Louis XVI style sconces with two arms of light in gilded and chiseled bronze. The shaft decorated with rudent grooves and laurel wreaths is topped with a fire pot urn. Arms of light chiselled with acanthus leaves, candle holders with water leaves, cups with twisted flutes and rais-de-coeur. Beautiful gilding, after a model by Jean-Louis Prieur. Around 1930. Height 44 cm, width 27 cm. Small tasks. Similar models are kept in the Louvre Museum, the Museum of Decorative Arts in Lyon, the Württembergisches Landesmuseum in Stuttgart, as well as the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
