"The Miseries Of War By Jacques Callot"
Very beautiful etching by Jacques CALLOT (1592-1635) from the suite of "Great Miseries of War". This is the plate entitled "Découverte des malfaiteurs", a proof of the IIIrd state/III (Lieure nr 1347; Meaume nr 572). The board measures 8.5 x 18.5 cm (26 x 36 cm with its frame). The print is in good condition; there are some foxing, however accentuated on the photographs and not very visible in reality. Free delivery in Paris possible.
