These rugs are hand-knotted in workshops in the city of Nain in central Iran, near Isfahan.
They are usually very light with an off-white or dark blue base color encrusted with a central medallion.
Their high knot density and the highest quality materials make them luxury rugs.
They are made in most sizes and are among the finest rugs in the world, highly sought after by collectors.
They contain elements of silk, and the 6La denomination means that three pairs of yarns have been used for each warp yarn.
