"Pluie - Max Le Verrier - Monkey With Umbrella Lamp"
Table lamp in cast iron with green patina representing a monkey carrying a luminous umbrella. Very nice piece of 7.5 kg. This model named "Pluie" is signed by Max Le VERRIER. It rests on an octagonal base in black marble with cut sides.Max LE VERRIER found his monkey model in the Jardin des Plantes in Paris. The monkey answered to the pretty name of "Boubou" and held the pose for Max Le VERRIER in exchange for bananas. A true friendship was born between Boubou and the person who immortalized him.
