Porcelain coffee and chocolate service from the Manufacture de Schoelcher comprising a milk jug, a sugar bowl, a jug, 9 cups and 10 saucers with a gold background and finely executed flower decoration. Perfect state of conservation without gold wear or accident. All the pieces signed on the reverse "SCHOELCHER" Manufacture by Marc Schoelcher Paris around 1810-1820 In 1806, Marc Schoelcher rented a store on Boulevard des Italiens under the sign "fireproof" he quickly became successful thanks to the magnificent porcelain created by the Schoelchers. Devoting himself to decoration around 1810, he continued his progress with luxury production and obtained for his factory the title of "Manufacture de la Duchesse du Berry". Schoelcher's porcelains have been distinguished by the beauty of their forms, the liveliness and the finesse of the decorations. It closed its doors in 1834 following the death of its founder.
