"Suite Of Four Cabriolets In Lacquered Walnut, Provence, Louis XV Period, 18th Century."
Rare and beautiful suite of four armchairs, called cabriolet, in pearl gray lacquered walnut, from the Louis XV period, around 1755, 18th century, originally from Provence. The armchairs that we present have a remarkable scalloped and violin movement as well as an elegant whiplash line, carved with flowers and acanthus leaves. They rest on four curved legs, also sculpted with flowers, as well as on the belt, which is also curved. An original pearl gray lacquer and a beautiful upholstery with floral motifs in cotton and silk completes the decor. Private collection, from a private mansion in Aix. In very good shape. Dimensions: h.84.4 cm x w.62 cm x d.50 cm.
