"Marly Horse After Coustou"
The sculpture we present is a bronze cast from the 19th century. It is a reduction of one of the two Marly horses according to Coustou. the originals are currently in the Louvre. They are in Carrara marble and monumental. In 1974, they were installed in the Place de la Concorde but were removed to be replaced by copies. They are called horses of Marly because they were ordered by Louis XV and installed in 1743 in Marly. Our sculpture has a very beautiful patina. (E)
