"Library Two-body - XIXth"
Two-body bookcase in the Renaissance style in solid oak. Its upper part is topped with a molded and sculpted cornice. It is composed of 4 narrow glazed doors in sculpted and molded warheads with scalloped uprights. These 2 pairs of doors lock with a top and bottom lock and the interior is lined with 6 adjustable shelves on racks. Below, the library opens with 2 drawers closing with a common central lock. The whole rests on the lower part, opening by 4 solid paneled and molded doors closing with key by lock top and bottom. The interior is lined with a shelf on each side, placed on fixed cleats. The sides and the back are paneled and it rests on 2 flattened ball feet at the front and 2 straight feet at the back. Dismountable in 2 elements.
Period: Late 19th century.
Perfect condition after restoration, stripping and waxed patina in our workshop.
Total height: 248.5 cm Upper part, measurements at the cornice: Width 178 cm - Depth 47.5 cm - Height 169 cm Interior depth at the top: 30.5 cm. Lower part: Width 170 cm - Depth 60.5 cm - Height 79.5 cm
