** Circa 1950-1952 **
(Designer Arne Jacobsen - Fritz Hansen Publisher).
It is accompanied by its four thermoformed wooden chairs in the so-called ant model (model 3100) in black lacquered rosewood veneer; tripod base sheathed in gray fluted plastic cases (first version with three legs). Under the seat the central plates are embossed FH DANMARK.
This is an original set purchased as is, it is in the same condition as it left the house or it has always been (in its own juice).
The seats of the chairs can be considered in good condition, as well as the table top. The black lacquer is nevertheless worn around the edges of the seats, but there are no significant lacks of material with regard to the rosewood veneer finishing layer (under the lacquer).
These details to tell you that these chairs could be relacquered black (it is their original state) to be refurbished; but is it really necessary...
After meticulously looking at the condition of the thermoformed wood, I can confirm that you can note that it would also be possible to strip them to give them a rosewood finish (there would then remain a few rare but really tiny imperfections).
You will notice that the gray lacquer of the base of the table is still oxidized (but nothing serious) and that the sheathing of the legs of the chairs is in very good condition; you will notice that the rubber tips are missing at the ends.
