Jug in enamelled sandstone by Jean Anglade. Jean LANGLADE (1879-1928) - France In 1914, he was a ceramist, moulder and dealer in clay busts and figurines in Charenton. He makes high-fire stoneware, works with earthenware and porcelain. In 1920, he joined the ceramists of St Amand en Puysaie, recruited by ARNAUD in his factory in Faubourg. He then worked at the Société des Grès Flammés, before joining his personal workshop in the hamlet of Tuilerie d'Angelier, in Dampierre sous Bouhy, already operated by his wife since 1922. Pieces by LANGLADE are not often found, but they are, most of the time, of very good quality.
