"Small Louis XV Child's Commode Stamped J. Tuart - XVIIIth"
Small Louis XV chest of drawers in rosewood veneer stamped by the cabinetmaker Jean-Baptiste TUART (Master in 1741). Its grey/pink marble top is cut and molded with Corbin beak. It opens with 4 drawers, 2 of which are in the belt, whose facades are in animated shapes, inlaid and decorated with their bronzes and original entrances with redone keys. The sides and drawer bottoms are in oak. Its curved sides are also inlaid with a rosewood frame. The oak back is paneled and it rests on 4 cut-out legs adorned with bronzes at the front.
Period: 18th century.
Perfect condition after restoration, stripping and varnished finish on a hard bottom in our workshop.
