Young girl at the fountain, large bronze with double brown patina and original medal, it is signed Moreau Math on the edge of the base and bears the foundry mark E. COLIN, cast from the end of the 19th century. Mathurin MOREAU (1822-1912) cantor of feminine grace, entered the School of Fine Arts in Paris in 1841 in the workshops of Jules Ramey and Auguste Dumont. He won the second Prix de Rome in 1842 and was awarded the Medal of Honor at the Salon in 1897.
