Mrrs Trouillot and Marque create a small earthenware factory in Montière, a district of 'Amiens. Mobilized on the front, they had to sell their company on April 2, 1917 to the Amiens industrialist Borck. Désiré Borck entrusts Jean Barol, an experienced potter, with the artistic direction of the ceramic workshop. A former student of Clément Massier, one of the most famous ceramists of the late 19th century, Jean Barol had already founded his company in Cannes and produced from 1913 to 1927 under the name of the "BACS workshop" with three collaborators: Marius Alexandre, Jean Carie and François Sicard He provided ceramics with all the operating elements: the technique, the models of vases, the decorations and even the sources of supply of raw materials.
