About the Artist:
Søren Christian Bjulf was born in Løgstør in 1890 and died in 1958. He mainly worked in Denmark and was trained as a portrait and figure painter in Paris and Düsseldorf. After that he traveled a lot abroad in central Europe and the countries around the Mediterranean. Next to portraits, he also painted architecture paintings, landscapes and genre pieces. His style is very colorful with an impressionist style. His main focus are city scenes, preferd depictions of flower markets or fish markets.
